The SLUSHROPES ecosystem is designed to simplify your experience throughout your rope flow journey.
Studies show that people do better remembering names than numbers.
SLUSHROPES serves a global community, which means some are accustomed to the imperial system while some under metric system.
By creating a proprietary size chart, it removes the extra brain calories to convert numbers and allows better information retention. -
Sizes from Paradigm and UP are considered heavy ropes. Though we believe there is no wrong or right, we generally recommend working towards a heavy rope rather than starting with one.
Our strength does not always equate mobility- and vice versa!

YES! And here's how:
- Grab any tape measure and set your desired length (for example: 8 FT)
- Hold each end as if they are the rope handles
- Stand in the middle of the tape measure with room for your body and feet
- Allow extra room for the rope's center of curvature
For Your Consideration:
- Each size (how thin or thick) will feel different in terms of length. Key word: "feel".
- The thicker the rope, the more cordage it requires for your flow rope to "curve" at the center bottom.
- Wider bodies may find more comfort in a longer length flow rope.
-
As a rule of thumb, it is always better to get the longer length when unsure or in between.
For Example: An 8 FT vs 8.5 FT is not drastically longer when we divide the extra 5 inches into two (one on each side of the rope).
That only comes out to 2.5 inches extra per side. -
Absolutely! Our length recommendation is generic and is meant to be used as a guide only.
Height + Rope Length does not tell the full story.
We recommend considering the following:- Your Body Type
If you have a wider build, a longer rope would be more comfortable in length.
- Your Current Skills
If you are new, having a "fitted" rope may feel "too snug". We highly encourage a slightly longer rope for some grace when learning! Two "safe" lengths are 8 FT and 9 FT.
- Your Need For Options
If you enjoy having options, a longer rope will offer you exactly that. You can always make a longer rope shorter, but not the other way around.
- Your Need To Be Specific
If you enjoy not having your rope touch the ground, a shorter rope would be more appropriate.
