Q&A With the Founder

Origin & Inspiration

Q: What inspired you to create this rope, and what unmet need did you first notice in the market?

The initial inspiration for the INFINITY BRAID came from Chris Chamberlin's son (age 6). In his school, they learn to knit, weave, and braid. Chris then fashioned this "INFINITY BRAID" into a Flow Rope. The goal was to increase the weight & resistance, while maintaining the handle action of a light rope. We love our big thick ropes, but with these comes less articulation of the hands. And this can be taxing on the shoulders, for example. The INFINITY BRAID quickly became Chris' favorite Flow Rope.

Q: Can you share the moment you realized this product needs to exist?

As soon as Chris saw what his son had created, he knew he had to feel this braid in the form of a Flow Rope. So the first prototype came immediately after Chris' son came up with the concept.

Innovation & Design

Q: What makes the Infinity Rope fundamentally different from traditional flow ropes?

The center section where the braid is gives the INFINITY BRAID more weight and more air resistance than a conventional Flow Rope. You notice it immediately, but you can still Flow fast and fluid — like a light Flow Rope.

Q: What were the biggest design challenges, and how did you overcome them to achieve the final product?

The principle challenge is the time it takes to create the braid. It also takes a lot more rope length to create an 8.5 foot INFINITY BRAID.

Q: How did you test the rope during development, and what surprising insights came from that process?

The prototyping process enabled us to source the optimal rope thickness and subtly. The braid works best with a pliable rope that is not too thick (thickness is more difficult to braid tightly). The action on the rope we found is excellent.

Quality & Performance

Q: What specific features or materials contribute to this rope's durability and performance?

The INFINITY BRAID wears like a typical high-quality Flow Rope. Flowing on a smoother surface will help preserve the rope vs. concrete, for example.

Q: Prior to the Infinity Rope, WeckMethod came out with the Hybrid Rope which caused positive disruption in the way the community jumps and flows with a rope. In regards to the Infinity rope, who is this rope ideal for?

The INFINITY BRAID is ideal for experienced RopeFlowers, but beginners can also have fun with it. The faster you flow with it, the greater the resistance you will feel. I LOVE accelerating the INFINITY BRAID as I'm coming out of a Sneak, for example. It accelerates very quickly and I can feel a lot of force from the INFINITY BRAID, which provides an excellent training effect.

Q: The Hybrid Rope brought a very unique "swivel-on-the-handles attribute" that made unlocking difficult patterns easier. Are there any attributes that the Infinity Rope comes with that makes it easier or better on certain skills?

The handles on the INFINITY BRAID are essentially identical to a quality Flow Rope. The innovation is really found in its weight/resistance combined with conventional RopeFlow handles.

Q: To those who are skeptical about the braided center cord the Infinity Rope, how would you best describe how it flows? How does the Infinity Rope compare to a traditional style flow rope (handles knotted) OR a heavy flow rope?

The principle feeling is a greater centrifugal force when flowing. The INFINITY BRAID feels heavy, but flows fast. You can tie knots in the rope near the handles to adjust the length without compromising the smooth flowing action. I would say to the skeptic, just give it a roll and see what you think.

Founder's Vision & Brand Story

Q: How does this product reflect your values as a founder or your company's mission?

WeckMethod is an innovation company. We specialize in exercise equipment and training methodology. However, I anticipate innovating all product categories eventually. I apply the question "What if…" to everything to see if we can make it a better human interaction. I'll be "stepping" into footwear in 2026 with patented insoles (SoleStrides). I'm a "shoe guy", so footwear is a category I can't wait to get into.

Q: What do you hope customers feel when they first use this rope? Do you want them to feel comfortable right away? or do you want them to feel pushed outside of their comfort zone?

I generally want the RopeFlow experience to be fun, not frustrating. The INFINITY BRAID should meet most people where they are. I think even beginners will do well with it — because the feedback is "strong." The person will FEEL the rope, which can be useful for enhancing the quality of one's RopeFlow.

Impact & Future

Q: What early feedback have you received from your team or testers, and how has it shaped the product's evolution?

The feedback so far is "I want one" when people try it. I think it's a great addition to the RopeFlow world. Innovation that creates a unique training stimulus similar to what exists, while carving out its own special position in all the options available.

Q: How do you envision this rope influencing the market—or even changing how people think about flow rope products?

I think experienced RopeFlowers will enjoy the INFINITY BRAID a lot. They may find that it helps them Flow faster with a conventional Flow Rope after training with the increased resistance — with all of the articulation and control that a conventional Flow Rope provides.

Closing Thoughts

Q: Any closing thoughts?

I just want to express my appreciation for the RopeFlow community. It's a very different vibe than many other branches of fitness and exercise. Everyone is so warm and inviting. People have risen to prominence in the community with each person's flair and specialties complementing the collective whole.

I believe the most valuable training tool on planet Earth is a simple length of rope. It's inexpensive and accessible. I envision a world where most people think of RopeFlow from a personal experience perspective. Something they've done, enjoyed and benefited from — and like riding a bike, once you know the patterns involved in RopeFlow, you never forget. It's a rite of passage for anyone looking to better integrate their body/mind/spirit.

And a special thanks to YOU, Beyah! You really represent the heart and soul of RopeFlow. Your passion, creativity, and caring is a powerful force in the RopeFlow community.
