Notice: Shipping Disruption Due To the U.S. + Iran War

Hi friends, my name is Beyah — founder of SLUSHROPES.

This morning, I shared an Instagram video I’ve honestly been putting off for weeks. But at a certain point, it became impossible to ignore how the current economic climate is impacting the way we operate and serve you.

We’ve always tried to communicate openly, and this is an extension of that. I want to make sure nothing goes unsaid and that we continue to stay transparent with you.

In a world built around “same-day” and “free shipping,” SLUSHROPES operates very differently. We’re a small team, creating our flagship products in-house, with intention and integrity.

I feel incredibly grateful for the community behind SLUSHROPES. You’ve supported us through every tough decision, and it means everything that even during more challenging times, we’ve been able to move forward together.

If you’d like to watch the full video, it’s linked here. If you prefer to read, here are a few key updates — all of which we hope are temporary:

1) Community First
Last year, we increased prices on about 50% of our catalog due to steep tariffs on our raw materials. It wasn’t a decision we took lightly — in fact, I struggled with it for some time because raising prices is the last thing we want to do. No one wins.

Earlier this Jan. 2026, shipping carriers had already raised their rates by a little over 10%, which we were able to absorb - especially for our international customers.

More recently, however, shipping costs have surged again (due to the war) — with increases ranging anywhere from 15% to over 125%.

2) Supply Chain Disruptions
Recent disruptions in global shipping routes have shown just how quickly a single chokepoint can impact the entire supply chain.

As an e-commerce business, we rely heavily on carriers like USPS, FedEx, UPS, and DHL to get your orders to you. As fuel costs fluctuate and availability tightens, shipping prices continue to rise — often unpredictably.

All of our carriers have already increased their rates, and in some cases, prices are still changing on a shipment-by-shipment basis.

3) U.S. Customers
Based on your feedback from our recent Instagram polls, the majority of you prefer slower shipping over higher shipping costs.

Because of that, we’ll be shifting from Priority Mail to Ground shipping for the time being, until things stabilize.

4) International Customers (Outside the U.S.)
Due to the volatility in shipping costs, there may be instances where the shipping price paid at checkout does not fully cover the actual cost.

If that happens, we will reach out to you with the difference before shipping your order.

You’ll always have the option to decline — and if you do, we will gladly issue a full refund. Your experience matters to us, and we want you to feel confident and comfortable with your purchase.

5) Thank You - We want to thank YOU for taking the time to read. We want all of our supporters to feel well informed with every single step of the way. We are working on thinking outside of the box to serve you better.

Only seeing this now after ordering some ropes, based in Ireland. Totally understandable, hopefully I don’t get charged extra on top of €30+ delivery fee.

I have reached out to customer service with a possibility of prioritizing my order to reach me before 5th May. I know it’s a tight deadline but I am going away for a month and would love to use these ropes.

Ps, this is my first time ordering ropes👁️
